Graphically, Star Ocean 2 is nothing special, especially when judged by today standards. Fantastic Artwork The colorful artwork is fantastic, even if the game’s visuals aren’t up to par with some of its contemporaries. However, for the hardcore like me, there is plenty to like in here. This game is for the hardcore RPG crowd, casual RPG players who only play games in the genre that end in Fantasy followed by a number will find this game too hard and unforgivable. While unquestionably a great game, however, Star Ocean: The Second Story is not for everyone. So it is forgivable that most of you missed a great RPG, (an argument can be made by some that the game was the best RPG of that year) by the name of Star Ocean: The Second Story. Re-creating the FAT table maybe could be possible, which looks like a lot of work for any determined person.1999 was a huge year for RPGs, games like FFVIII, Grandia, Suikoden 2 and Lunar, all were released in that year. Merging all the FF9.IMG files together is a little too large for the RAM to handle. There's a few conflicting files with same names. I've heard that Chrono Cross actually hides its files. Grandia and Star Ocean might be fun to try though (MGS has differing contents for RADIO and STAGE but merging all those files looks damn tough). There's also another current bug with subdirectory extraction - doesn't handle spanning yet.ĭon't plan to do any more conversions for awhile - they appear much harder than I'd thought. And m2cdmaker wants all the root files listed first, then any sub-directory ones. Make sure to use the Lunar2 one - fixes some stupid root dir LBA bugs. Normally I work with PC conversions (cd-2-dvd) but the Eve1 got me interested. Got lucky with the Lunars - friendly enough for cd2dvd. Games bought from the Sony PSN store are DRM-encrypted and cannot work with these kits unless you decrypt them and convert the PSP eboot. MagicISO / ISOBuster supposedly works to convert img, iso, mdf, bwt to 'bin' or 'iso'. Suggested not to re-rip your CD image using CloneCD / Alcohol from a virtual drive to create a 'bin' or 'img'.
